Canada-Ontario Job Grant
The Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG) provides an opportunity for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the government. Employers choose the individuals they would like to have trained, and the training that meets their workforce development needs.
The Job Grant will provide direct financial support to employers to purchase training for their existing and new employees with a plan to deliver short-term training of up to 52 weeks to cover skills gaps.
The Canada-Ontario Job Grant will:
- Pay up to 5/6 of the training costs (up to $10,000 per person)
- employers with 100 or more employees need to contribute 1/2 of the training costs. Small employers with less than 100 employees need to contribute 1/6 of training costs
- Require training to be delivered by an eligible, third-party trainer
- Employers must apply online for funding at www.tcu.gov.on.ca/eng/eopg/cojg/index.html
